My Story
Hi, my name is Tom Pandaleon, nicknamed “Guitar Tom” by the mother of a student, many years ago.

I have been playing, performing, composing, and teaching for a long time, but I still learn something new about my instrument, and music in general, every day.

I come from a family of teachers. My grandmother and each of her eight sisters were teachers. My Aunt Maggie taught Braille to blind and sight challenged people.

As a performer I have had the distinct honor of making music with two members of the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Adam Yauch of the Beastie Boys, and the great Pete Seeger.

I have been in many bands over the years, and played with some excellent musicians. I have played Electric Guitar in rock bands, and acoustic guitar and banjo in bluegrass bands. I play locally with my band The New Recliners

I love teaching and sharing what I have discovered, both as a player myself and through teaching many students over the years.

I take every student separately, and do my best to teach you in a way that is effective and quick for you. I’ll help you avoid the bad habits that slow down, and derail beginning students.

I can help you make sense of on-line chords, tabs and video lessons.

I can also teach you to change chords faster, sight reading notation, how to play and sing at the same time, famous riffs and more.

If you’re interested is starting, let’s do it! If you already play, and want to reach for higher levels, give me a holler. We’ll work at your pace. We’ll work hard, but have fun doing it.

Learn music YOU like!

Thanks
Tom
